Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa is ready to save Sivasspor from relegation.
The 30-year-old striker suffered an injury that required surgery at the end of September 2022.
Musa missed the Nigerian Super Eagles’ friendly matches against the Algerian and Portuguese Desert Foxes later in the year.
Relegation battle between Musa and Sivasspor
Since his surgery, Musa celebrated his 30th birthday and commissioned a school named after his parents in his hometown of Bukuru, Jos South Local Government in Plateau State.
He has also campaigned for the collection of the Permanent Voter Card (PVC) ahead of the 2023 general election in Nigeria.
After several months on the sideline, Musa returned to action with Sivasspor at the end of November last year.
The leagues were interrupted during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and Musa has continued to build his form with action coming off the bench in his last seven matches.
Sivasspor sits 17th in the standings, now embroiled in a relegation battle in Turkey.
Prior to his return to action, Musa took to social media to post new photos from his training session.
Musa’s photos are of her arriving with a cup of coffee in her hands because of the weather and participating in training exercises.
Along with Musa’s photos were messages from friends and family wishing her all the best for the game.
Musa and his Sivasspor teammates need all three points against Kayserispor in their next league match scheduled for Friday, January 13, 2022.
