A Know Your Customer technology company, VerifyMe Nigeria, has received two ISO certifications from the International Organization for Standardization. The certifications are QMS ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System) and ISMS ISO/IEC 27001:2013 (Information Security Management Systems).

ISO 9001:2015 involves the structure of an organization along with the planning, processes, resources, and documented information that is used to achieve quality objectives. Certification demonstrates a company’s commitment to quality, customer focus, risk-based thinking, and continuous improvement.

ISO 27001:2013 ISO/IEC 27001:2013 specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an information security management system within the context of the organization. It guarantees the security of information in all its forms, whether digital, on paper or in the cloud. Other benefits include improving the organization’s resistance to attack, responsiveness to evolving security threats, and fostering a holistic company culture geared towards understanding risks and adopting security controls.

Speaking about the certifications on Sunday, January 1, 2023, VerifyMe Co-Founder/CEO Esigie Aguele said: “It was important to us to go beyond compliance to earn our ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certifications as part of our ongoing Commitment to operational quality and customer service.

“We will continue to acquire industry certifications to maintain our customers’ confidence in our products and our ability to deliver well into the future.”

Additionally, in a statement to the company, Certification Manager, Tapton Certification Services, Oluwatobi Adeoye, and QFS Management System Partners representing the International Organization for Standardization, stated: “We congratulate the VerifyMe Nigeria team on their tireless efforts to comply with ISO 9001 and 27001 Standards.

“The level of commitment, support and planning that VerifyMe Nigeria has shown to create, adopt and maintain processes while solving problems along the way is admirable, to say the least. We encourage the company to keep up with its best practices and continue to look for opportunities for improvement.”

ISO-based management systems incorporate a systematic approach to identify and exploit opportunities to continuously improve the performance and quality of organizations.
