Oladejo said: “Our attention has been drawn to a post alleging an imagined crisis shaking the Lagos State APC by some faceless people.
“Our initial reaction was to ignore the unnecessary distraction that came at the height of the election campaign.
“However, we had a change of heart to prevent people from accepting this fiction as reality. The whole story is, at best, the fertile imagination of the writer.
According to him, the president of APC of Lagos state, Pastor Cornelio Ojelabihe joined with an enviable record of experience across the party and all three levels of government.
The spokesman said the party chairman had been able to use his experience to unify the party, break down barriers and placate aggrieved party members.
“He (Ojelabi) has a reputation as a team player; humble, selfless and considerate. He consults far and wide before making decisions on party affairs.
“There is no question that his leadership style complements the historic accomplishments of the state governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-oluto ensure a smooth campaign that guarantees our victory.
“Since he took office, he has assiduously ensured that the party does not split, promoting fair play and justice at all times.,” he said.
According to him, despite the short deadline, the Lagos presidential rally at the Teslim Balogun Stadium organized by the party has been widely recognized as one of the best in terms of organization, mobilization, media coverage and security measures.
He said the same was applicable to the gubernatorial election in Mobolaji, Johnson Arena, Onikan.
Oladejo said that the State Campaign Committee had been deliberately decentralized to be more participatory in order to reach the grassroots.
The spokesperson explained that the committee consisted of members of the Governance Advisory Committee (GAC), members of the State Party Executive, cabinet members, members of the National Assembly, members of the Lagos State House of Assembly, chairpersons of the Council and other stakeholders with a remarkable wealth of experience.
According to him, the greatest strength of the state president is his closeness, through which he has managed to mobilize merchants, artisans, ethnic groups, youth and other actors towards the next elections.
“However, anyone who is upset will do well to approach the party leadership rather than resort to unnecessary media bashing at a crucial period like this.
“The Lagos State APC would like to reassure its members and others that the state president, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, remains undaunted, unfazed and undistracted from the onerous task at hand.
“The party appreciates the support of all its members as we continue to work diligently for victory at various levels in the upcoming national elections.” he said.
