Jigawa Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar reacted on Tuesday 3 January to claims that All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not in good health.

During Tinubu’s town hall meeting with Muslim leaders in Kano state on Tuesday, Badaru stated that Tinubu is physically and mentally healthy, contrary to malicious insinuations.

Governor Baduru said:

“People spread false news about his state of health. Those of us who are with him know that he is very healthy. Apart from physical health, he has a very high mental alertness.”

Baduru recounted how he joined Tinubu on a recent trip to London and Saudi Arabia, where they had the stressful ritual of the minor hajj and returned to Nigeria without rest.
