A former senator representing central Kano, Naj’atu Muhammad, has said that the wife of All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be in charge of Nigeria if the latter is elected president.
He made this revelation on Wednesday, January 25, during a show on African Independent Television (AIT).

According to The Cable, the former senator had recently announced her resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“In this case, you know that those parasites just push you knowing that you can’t do it and they will be the beneficiaries. It’s just there as an idol,” Muhammad said.
“His wife will make the decision. She will rule over the country and the other hangers-on, they even hate Asiwaju as far as I’m concerned, because you can’t put someone who is mentally ill in a leadership position.
“What kind of people are we? This thing can come back and consume us all.”

Muhammad also spoke about why he decided to support Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate.

“I looked at the options in the APC. They go to demonstrations and Asiwaju can’t even make out. When I was talking to him, I sat with him for two hours and most of the time he was sleeping,” she said.

He also said that the APC presidential candidate told him that he had no plan or agenda for the country.
“He told me that he has nothing for us. I said ‘you mean sir, don’t you have a blueprint?’ He said, ‘I can’t have a blueprint because if I have a blueprint, I’ll be stepping on too many toes and they might even kill me.’ That was what he said,” he said.

Meanwhile, Akan Udofia, the All Progressive Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in the 2023 gubernatorial election in Akwa Ibom state, has been sacked.

The federal high court based in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, ruled that Udofia did not qualify to run in the state’s APC gubernatorial primary election.
The court then ordered the APC to hold a new gubernatorial primary election in the state in 14 days, The Nation reported. Akwa Ibom State is the third APC gubernatorial primary election recently thrown out by the court. The court had earlier annulled the Adamawa and Taraba state primaries.
