Two men, Abubakar Ali and Adamu Danjuma, were arraigned before the Ogba Magistrate Court in the Ikeja area of ​​Lagos state for allegedly stealing a truck valued at N10m.

The defendants were said to have committed the offense on May 5, 2022 on Ikosi Road, Oregon in the Ikeja area of ​​the state.

The charges read: “That you, Abubakar Ali and Adamu Danjuma, on May 5, 2022, at the Nacos Dangote Salt Company on Ikosi Road, Oregon, in the Ikeja Magisterial District, conspired with each other to steal a truck with the number of registration KZR145ZT valued at N10m.

“That you, Abubakar Ali and Adamu Danjuma, on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned judicial district, stole a truck with the registration number KZR145ZT, valued at N10m, owned by Nacos Dangote Salt Company.”

The offenses were said to be punishable under sections 411 and 287 of the Lagos State Penal Act, 2015.

The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Magistrate MF Onamusi adjourned the matter until 9 January for mention.
