He United Kingdom The Department of Education has updated its document specifying the eligibility criteria for non-United Kingdom nationals who are interested in acquiring the Status of Certified Teacher (QTS) that will allow them to find teaching jobs across the country.
This update was made just days before the opening of the portal as previously announced.
Recall that the UK government whose citizens can now apply for qualified teacher status through the Agency for Teaching Regulation from February 2023.
Based on this, subjects like maths, science and some languages are the only available subjects qualified for the UK teaching programme.

Remember that Legit.ng reported that following the new update from the UK Department for Education for those who are interested in applying for Qualified Teacher status through the Agency for Teaching Regulation from February As of 2023, many Nigerians are now ineligible for QTS status.
As per the update, some issues that are badly needed in the UK will be prioritized.
However, the education department added that there will be an update on other specialties in May.
