The Nigerian Football Federation and the Zambian Football Association have again postponed the doubleheader friendly between the Nigerian under-20 team and their Zambian counterparts.
According to NFF Director of Media and Communications Ademola Olajire, the games will now be played on February 3 and 6 in Abuja.
“The Zambia Football Association and their Nigerian counterparts have rescheduled their two friendly matches with their under-20 teams to February 3 and 6 respectively,” the FAZ also confirmed in a statement.
The friendlies are postponed due to a travel problem, our correspondent has learned.
Zambia and Nigeria were scheduled to meet on January 27 and 30 in warm-up matches ahead of the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Seven-time champions Nigeria are tied with hosts Egypt, Mozambique and Senegal in Group A of the tournament.
The AFCON U-20 2023, which will be played from February 9 to March 11, will serve as a qualifier for the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Indonesia.
