In a statement made available to Legit.ng, Inuwa said Nigeria is the most viable information technology (IT) investment destination in the world.

He revealed this while addressing an international audience of tech giants at the 2023 Digital Life Design (DLD) conference in Munich, Germany.

Going further, he insisted that Nigeria ticks all the boxes in terms of size, population, youth demographics, government support, legal and regulatory framework.

He went further by predicting that by 2030 there would be a global shortage of 85 million IT professionals.

Consequently, he advised the world not to overlook Nigeria when it comes to digital technology.

“The average age in Nigeria is 19; we have a demographic advantage. We will become the global factory for IT talent. You can live in Nigeria but work for Western companies, the start-ups that offer this are already there. India has been leading and We have to do something about it.”

Federal government agency NITDA shortlisted for awards in Germany

NITDA was named in the public affairs category along with the Irish Pharmaceutical Health Association, UK PLMR Communication, Austrian Federal Economic Chamber Wirtschaftskammer Österreich and IHK Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Kiel, Germany.

The DCA, organized by the Quadriga University of Applied Sciences in Germany, was launched in 2011 as a digital communications competition at a practical and academic level. An expert jury made up of leading professionals and academics reviews outstanding online projects and campaigns.
