Gombe United Football Club has successfully carried out an electrocardiogram scan and test on all players ahead of their matchweek 01 against Sporting Lagos this weekend at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Lagos as the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier League season begins this weekend.

The Savannah Scorpions medical staff and the team doctors were on ground to conduct the scan and test on all the players both old and new signings at the specialist hospital in Gombe on Tuesday.

Club’s General Manager Abubakar Abubakar-Yellow, commended the medical staff for their proactiveness during the test.

“It paramount for the club to conduct this test and scan on all our players as the new football season begins this weekend, we need to know the health conditions of our players, because it’s our number one priority, we need and must take care of our players medically.

“This ECG San and test is also part of the CAF Club Licensing and we have well-qualified medical staff in the team under the leadership of Dr Danladi Gambo,” he said.

Abubakar-Yellow who was recently reappointed by the Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Yahaya, assured fans of a good outing this season.

Gombe United will embark on a long journey to face Sporting Lagos in the matchweek 01 of the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier League season.
