Governor Wike spoke at the official commissioning of the Bori-Kono dualized super highway.

What he said: “With what we have done, the people will vote for our people. That is why I told Nigerians that if there is such a thing as vote buying, the only legal way to allow vote buying is to deliver projects.”

In the meantime: The governor said that, starting in January 2023, he will first embark on a statewide campaign tour to tell the people of Rivers who they should vote for.

Thereafter, he reported that he will go on a nationwide campaign tour to tell Nigerians which is the preferred presidential candidate who requires their votes.

He said Nigerians need to know a reliable candidate that they can trust to bring about the necessary national transformation with the ability and expected results.

So, starting in January of next year, I will be campaigning for my people to vote.

“So, all of you who have been on hold. That they’ve been saying all sorts of things, abusing me, wait, January’s here.

“I’m not just going to tell you where you’re going to vote, but I’m going to move from state to state and tell you why you should vote for the people I think you should vote for. Nothing will happen.”

About the project: The Dualised Bori-Kono highway was facilitated by the Wike administration”towards fulfilling his campaign promises to the Ogoni people for their massive support for his administration”.

The government said the road is expected to provide easy access for the Kono farming community and other communities in the Khana and Andoni Local Government Areas (LGAs) to transport their agricultural and marine products to various markets.
