The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has not collapsed its structure for the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, in Lagos state, nor has it endorsed any other candidates at any level in the state, apart from those competing on its platform. .

The party made the clarification on Sunday, following reports that PDP gubernatorial candidate Abdul-Azeez Adediran (Jandor) was meeting with ADC local government chairmen, who had decided to use the ADC structure for him. .

In reaction, ADC, through its Lagos Campaign Council National Representative Mabel Oboh, said those meeting with Jandor must be “fictitious members” of ADC as “the party in Lagos State remains intact “.

According to Oboh, who is also ADC’s National Director of Diversity and Inclusion, the party has worked too hard to sacrifice its structure for anyone.

ADC said its gubernatorial candidate, Funsho Doherty, and other contestants were fully in the running to win.

“All the rumors and actions of people pretending to be the Lagos African Democratic Congress, ADC, collaborating or collapsing our structure in PDP or any other party in Lagos State, are the work of fictitious ADC members.

“We as a party affirm that, in fact, the ADC and our gubernatorial candidate, Funsho Doherty, are competing to the bitter end.

“We have worked very hard and we have a good fan base.

“We are not and will not be part of any negotiation,” the party emphasized.

Remember that the elections for governors and assemblies are scheduled for March 11 throughout the country.
