A 77-year-old woman, Ms. Roseline Omorogbe, was killed in a traffic accident in Benin on Tuesday, when a Toyota Venza driven by an alleged Yahoo boy, Elvis Erahamwonyi, overtook a car in front only to crash into a tricycle that was transporting passengers to their destination.

The accident, which took place at 1st Ugbor Road by John Edebia Junction, government reserved area, also caused serious injuries to Ms. Regina Jeffery, 30, of Obanor Street, behind Benson Idahosa University, Benin, and to a tricycle driver.

An eyewitness who identified himself as Sylvester told The PUNCH that the driver of the Venza was speeding when he tried to pass the car in front only to crash into the oncoming trike.

He said: “I suspect the driver of the Venza is a guy from Yahoo. They always drive as if the road belongs to them. If he had been patient, the accident would have been avoided. Another trike would have been involved, but he was fast enough to avoid being hit. An elderly woman died at the scene while two were taken to Benin Medical Care on Adesuwa Road.
