The governor made the remarks at the opening of the zonal campaign rally in Yauri, South Kebbi.

He said his conviction was based on the fairness in which the party’s candidates emerged as a result of transparent and open processes.

Baduguwho is also chair of the APC Governors Forum, said this is particularly based on the way the APC presidential nominee and his running mate, as well as the state gubernatorial nominee and his running mate, emerged.

He said the APC and its leaders were always fair and open-minded, unlike some self-centered and unpatriotic ex-members who left the party and asserted themselves as candidates and intimidated perceived weaker party members.

Bagudu said the APC-led Federal Government under President Muhammadu Buhari and the Kebbi state government had performed satisfactorily for the past seven years.

He said this was evident in the variety of infrastructure development that dots the landscape of the area and the state in general.

The Governor called on the people of the state to vote for APC candidates at all levels to ensure continuity.

Bagudu assured the people of the state that the APC gubernatorial candidate, Dr Nasir Idris, and his running mate, Senator Umar Abubakar in the state would be based on the legacy of the ruling APC if elected.

He recognized the sustained support of the people of the state for the federal government and its administration, urging them not to let up.

Earlier, Alhaji Yusuf YauriAPC Chairman, Yauri Local Government expressed his delight at the huge crowd of APC members and supporters who attended the Zonal Kebbi South campaign rally at Yauri Local Government.

He thanked President Muhammadu Buhari and the state governor for the huge infrastructure development across the Yauri Emirate, particularly road construction and electricity supply which has eluded the Emirate for many years.

APC State Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Kana told the huge crowd that APC in Kebbi was still a strong and united family.

Kana assured APC members that good news would come soon that would make them smile.

He said that the current administration of the govt. Bagudu has registered significant development in all 21 local government areas of the state.
