“Burna Boy, leading a 30 piece band, led Lagos’ 30,000+ spectators through an eclectic set that sent the crowd into a frenzy making them forget the initial technical glitches that led to a late start” .

The organizers, in the statement, apologized for the technical problems that caused a late start of the show.

“We understand the frustration fans must have felt over the unusual delay, and we sincerely apologize even as we express our commitment to providing only the best and timely experiences for subsequent events.

“We would like to send a special thank you to Burna Boy and his team for displaying stupendous professionalism amidst the confusion,” the statement read.

The Wonder X team also sent a big thank you to the 30,000+ fans who came out to show their undying love for their hero and who, despite the long wait, kept the faith and finally witnessed an electrifying musical performance.

The Lagos Love Damini concert witnessed an attendance of over 30,000 fans and a car lot with an unprecedented 11,000 cars.

“Adjoining Ahmadu Bello, Akin Adesola and Adetokunbo Ademola streets were clogged with traffic, positioning the concert as the largest and most attended music concert in recent history,” the statement said.

The PUNCH reported that attendees had complained about the music star’s late entry into the New Year’s Day show.
