Two farmers, Samuel Oladotun and Fashola Tobiloba, have been kidnapped by yet to be identified kidnappers in Ileogbo, Osun State.

According to a reliable security source, who preferred to remain anonymous because she was not authorized to comment on the matter, the victims and seven other people were returning from their farms on a bus, when their vehicle was attacked in the Oke Osun area, Ileogbo, on Wednesday. to become night.

It was also learned that six of the victims managed to escape, but three of them were captured and taken to an undisclosed location by their kidnappers.
The source also added that while the victims were being transferred, another escaped, leaving two others in the custody of the captives.

He further said: “The relationship of one of the victims received a call from the kidnappers this afternoon. They asked for a sum of N10 million to release them. Police and members of the Nigerian Forest and Security Service are combing the area.

“Amotekun’s men are also involved in the search. But currently, Samuel Oladotun and Fashola Tobiloba are still with them (kidnappers). When they called, the kidnappers spoke in a language we don’t understand. It’s not English, but they mentioned the amount they wanted as ransom.”

Osun Police Command Public Relations Officer Yemisi Opalola when contacted on Thursday confirmed the incident.

She said: “We are already working on the incident. They will be rescued.”
