Team Oyo set a record of winning 50 gold medals for the first time in state history at the National Sports Festival.

Oyo State finished fourth on the record with 163 medals, 50 gold, 51 silver and 62 bronze medals.

In a statement from the Governor through his Chief Press Secretary, Taiwo Adisa, he congratulated and commended Team Oyo on their successful outing to Delta State.

He said, “The wins of the Oluyole Warriors and Team Oyo in their respective competitions show the never-give-up spirit of an Oyo man and his penchant for setting the pace with greatness.
