Nigerian actors under the aegis of the Nigerian Screen Actors Guild have vehemently condemned the posting of nude videos of one of its members, actress Empress Njamah.

The PUNCH had previously reported that the Nollywood actress’ estranged fiancé, George Wade, allegedly shared the nude video of the actress.

A source said Wade created a WhatsApp group where he added several people and began posting nude videos he took of the actress at her home, including innocent videos of her taking a bath.

Recall that the duo had split in 2022 with Njamah accusing her ‘ex-fiancé’ of physically assaulting her, in a live stream via her verified Instagram handle.

However, AGN in a statement from the National President, Ejezie Emeka Rolls, and made available to the punch by communications director Kate Henshaw read in part: “We vehemently condemn the posting of private videos of our member Empress Njamah on social media.

“This act of blackmail calculated to tarnish her image and publicly ridicule her by a man claiming to be her lover is not only criminal but also evil and unacceptable.

“It should be noted that exposing videos and nude photos of a person that violate their right to privacy is a serious crime.

The Association further said that it supports Empress Njamah in this and will provide full support in areas of counseling to help her recover from the psychological and emotional trauma she is currently going through.

“We have been at the forefront of a campaign of violence against women and we see the action of this so-called loving man as an act aimed at eroding their dignity and self-esteem.

“We call on law enforcement officers to apprehend the culprit and ensure that he faces the full wrath of the law for violating Empress Njamah’s right and dignity.

“We urge his fans to give him their full support at this time. She will come out of this stronger and better,” the statement added.
