Kamal Iliyasu, popularly known as Kamal Aboki, a Nigerian parody creator, has reportedly died in a fatal car accident.
INSIDE NIGERIA has learned that the indigenous Hausa comedian died on his way from Borno to Kano State on Monday, January 17, 2023.
During an interview with the BBC, his older brother Usman confirmed his death, revealing that their mother had a premonition that something terrible would happen to Kamal.
However, someone later called him to inform him of the death of his brother who went to Maiduguri for an album launch.
According to him, while on his way back to Kano, the parody creator was killed in a horrible car accident.
Usman stated that Kamal’s death has left his family distraught and he will be greatly missed as he is one of the kindest people in the world.
He said:
On Monday, my mother asked me to call Kamal around 5 pm and she said that he was already inside a vehicle heading to Kano. So, my mother began to feel somehow.
