Cross River State Labor Party (LP), Chairman Amb. Patriarch Ogar Osim on Wednesday in a media chat with reporters stated that the party’s presidential candidate Mr. Peter Obi has what it takes to renew the nation’s ailing economy.
Osim made the remarks at an interactive session with journalists at the Ernest Etim Bassey Calabar press center to rally support for the party’s presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi.
The LP boss maintained that Obi is the only candidate in the face whose health, academic records and health do not need to be verified or defended.
“Peter Obi has everything Nigerians need in a leader who will change the sorry state of our country.
“He is the best of the best. He is the only candidate in the race who does not need a team of doctors to know his state of health, nor a team of lawyers to defend his academic record or his source of wealth,” Osim said.
The LP Chairman described Obi’s ambition as beyond politics and stressed that his ambition is a divine move rooted in God Almighty for Nigeria.
Osim said that no intrigue against him will work because Obi represents the freedom and greatness of this country.
In his remarks, Professor James Ekpoke, coordinator of Peter Obi’s presidential campaign council in Cross River State and former vice-chancellor of the University of Calabar, said that with Peter Obi, Nigerians can have hope.
