Ojokolo is a retired sprinter who has won several continental medals and represented Nigeria at major international championships during her active international years.
She is a two-time African 100m champion (2002 and 2004), a 2004 Athens Olympian, and a three-time World Indoor Championships finalist, having won the Nigerian title seven times in her career.
Ojokolo had a 60m personal best (PB) of 7.08 s, 100m PB of 11.06 s, and 200m PB of 23.09 s. She retired in 2009 and since then she has become a national coach, coaching several young athletes to stardom.
One major athlete who has trained to stardom is Tokyo Olympian and one of the best sprinters in the country right now, Usheoritse Itsekiri.
She has also coached teams at various international championships and was the head coach of the Nigerian team at the Under-20 World Championships in Nairobi, where the country had the best performance of its career at a major athletics championship.
Sapele-based coach and fellow legendary sprinter Deji Aliu had a daughter named Immanuela during their active years, who is also a talented sprinter who is a college student at Texas A&M and represents Great Britain internationally.
