Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra has asked the electorate of the state to vote for all the candidates of the Great Progressive Alliance (APGA) for the proper functioning of the government.

Soludo said this while addressing party faithful at a political rally in the Akpaka Government Reserved Area (GRA) in Onitsha on Tuesday.

He said that voting for all APGA candidates would ensure the delivery of democracy dividends to the people.

The Governor said that Mr. Edward Ibuzo, a candidate for the Onitsha federal constituency, is a selfless man, only interested in what would benefit his constituents.

According to him, people only think about what will benefit them, but Ibuzo thinks about what will benefit his people and does not think about himself.

“That’s why I decided to do the Akpaka-Nsugbe trail that he pleaded with sorely needed by his people.

“Then I promised him that I will follow the path because at APGA we keep our promises.

“My predecessor, Obiano, promised me to be the next governor after him and I also promised him support that I fulfilled. So at APGA, it’s a promise kept.

“So if you vote for APGA candidates, especially those running for the State House of Assembly, whatever you bring to me will not be delayed, it will be endorsed.

“But if it were from other parties, it won’t get the attention it deserves,” he said.

The Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr. Patrick Mba, praised the Governor for his One Youth, Two Skills Initiative programme, introduced to make youth self-reliant, saying the project is bringing positive results.

Mba described Soludo as a governor of action who always matched his words with action, adding that just one year in office, the governor has brought positive changes to Anambra.

In addition, APGA House of Assembly candidate Onitsha North II Constituency Harold Ekwerekwu vowed to provide quality representation, especially on roads and other infrastructure.
