A leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara, Dr. Anas Sani Anka (Snr), has said that the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will change the political landscape in Nigeria if elected president in 2023.

According to him, Tinubu will build a political institution that will transform the country for the better.

He explained that his (Tinubu’s) achievements in Lagos state, where he served as governor, made him a competent person to lead the country.

Dr. Anka, who also serves as a media and publicity adviser to the party’s northwest presidential campaign council coordinator, Gov. Muhammed Bello Matawalle, revealed this in an interview with reporters in the state.

He also explained that there are people across the country who were politically supported and advised by Tinubu and who have served the country diligently. He mentioned people like Babatunde Fashola; Vice President, Prof. Yomi Osibanjo; Former Ekiti State Governor Fayemi Kayode, among others.

“All we’re trying to say is that Tinubu isn’t self-centered, so he doesn’t think only of himself. A good example is the foundation he laid in the state of Lagos, where he served as governor.

“The state continues to develop, so I believe that if he joins as president-elect, he will build a political institution that will bring positive change and development to the country,” he said.

Dr. Anka also said that running mate Kashim Shatima had transformed the Borno state and also left a predecessor who is doing well for the people of the state. He said these are the kind of leadership changes the country doesn’t need for individual identity.
