Gombe State Governor Inuwa Yahaya says All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu will not disappoint Nigerians if elected president because he has the ability to deliver.

Yahaya said this when he visited Alhaji Abdulkadir Abdulsalam’s palace, the Lamido Gona, in the Amada community in the state’s Akko Local Government Area (LGA).

He said that President Muhammadu Buhari performed credibly in terms of providing good governance to the people of Nigeria.

“We need consolidation, that is why we are going to vote for Tinubu. Tinubu has promised to continue Buhari’s good deeds by ensuring good governance for good people.

“I assure you that you will not be disappointed,” he said.

Yahaya said his visit was to thank the community for their support of his administration, as well as to seek their prayers before heading to various districts for the campaign.

He urged the people of the emirate to vote for the APC candidates in the 2023 general election.

Also speaking in the Garko district of the Akko LGA, the Governor called on supporters to come and collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVC) and vote for APC candidates at all levels.

He said that APC remains the only party that cares about the welfare of the people and urged the electorate to vote for APC to ensure that their interests are well protected in 2023.

He expressed his confidence that with the introduction of the Bimodal Voter Authentication System (BVAS) only politicians with supporters could win the elections, adding that there was no longer room for electoral fraud.

“We are confident with the introduction of BVAS that Tinubu and all APC candidates will win in 2023 because we have performed well and we have supporters,” he said.

State Director General, APC Campaign Council Mr. Zubair Umar has called on supporters to collect their PVCs before the 2023 General Election to exercise their right to vote.

He also called on young people to participate in peaceful politics and avoid violence.

The DG said that the governor did not need a campaign to be re-elected because his management exceeded expectations in all sectors.

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Yahaya hosted thousands of defectors from opposition parties in the three districts visited in Akko LGA. (NAN) (www.nannews.ng)
